Building a vision over time

This project was done in phases over the course of several years, slowly building on the vision of the owner, Tree and Stone, and Julia Libby of Pollen. Features include a cobblestone driveway, granite walkways, stepping stone paths through the extensive gardens, no-mow lawn, and numerous plantings. Addressing steep slopes and stormwater drainage with a natural aesthetic were important considerations due to the picturesque location on the banks of the Harraseekat River in Freeport.

The cobblestone driveway, with an apron using reclaimed curbing sourced from a nearby bridge project, was a major element of this project

Large-format granite provides a subtle contrast for the entrance walkway, while stepping stones offer a short-cut through the garden.
